At Helping Heroes, our mission has always been to make a difference in the lives of single mother business owners in developing nations, and for 2022, we took a swing at something new – the Helping Heroes Golf Tournament.
The Golf Tournament
The day was filled with excitement and camaraderie as over 60 people showed up to support our cause. They were split into teams of four, creating an atmosphere of friendly competition and collaboration.
We were thrilled to have the support of Peak Sales Recruiting, Ignite Sales Recruiting, Prodent Search, Contrast Digital, CPO Talent, and Apex CMO Search, who joined us for this special event.
There were many challenges, including the thrilling longest drive and closest to the pin competitions, both for men and women.
As golfers aimed for the perfect shot, they also aimed for the heart of our cause, knowing that every swing contributed to Helping Heroes in their own way.
In between birdies and bogeys, our participants engaged in a unique activity we called “Helping Heroes Trivia.”
This interactive segment allowed us to share not just the spirit of competition but also some fascinating facts about our charity and our commitment to a cause that’s close to our hearts.
At the time, the participants didn’t know about the trivia game that was to be played at the event dinner, but those who paid attention, reaped the rewards of not only wining prizes, but spreading the message of our charity.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we gathered for a dinner. The evening was a celebration of the day’s accomplishments. We announced the winners of the golf competitions and presented awards to those who excelled.
While the tournament was a day of fun and camaraderie, it’s important to remember why we gathered.
Helping Heroes’ most recent venture involves the creation of a sewing school in the Congo. This project aims to provide valuable skills to single mothers, enabling them to support their families and communities.
The funds raised during the golf tournament will go a long way in making this dream a reality.
